How we got here, and why we do this work.

BPP did not start in a boardroom. It started in the community. Rodney Jones, a Howard alum with an MBA from the University of Tampa and decades of global marketing experience at Owens Corning, spent years helping first-time founders get their businesses off the ground with something real: a plan, structure, and a real shot.

That legacy runs deep. Rodney’s father was among the first Tuskegee Airmen and later became the first Black owner of an airport in Washington, D.C. Excellence, service, and ownership are not talking points here. They are part of the foundation.

Rodney built the foundation. We’re building what comes next. Today, BPP brings together strategy, systems, and modern technology so founders can operate with more clarity, control, and momentum in a faster-moving business world.

Rodney Jones

Founder · Strategy

Rodney is where it all started.

Background

A graduate of Howard University with a BS in marketing and an MBA from the University of Tampa, Rodney also holds a certification in social media marketing from MIT. Over 40+ years at Owens Corning, he led $110M+ annual sales plans, managed field teams, and developed marketing strategy across 20+ countries. His experience spans sales, marketing, product strategy, and international business across the U.S., Asia Pacific, and Europe.

What he built

In 2010, Rodney founded Business Plans Plus to give startups, small businesses, and nonprofits access to the kind of strategic support usually reserved for companies with six-figure consulting budgets. Over the years, he has helped 300+ businesses get organized enough to grow.

Legacy

Rodney’s father was one of the first Tuskegee Airmen and built the first Black-owned airport in Washington, D.C. That legacy of excellence, ownership, and community service is the foundation Business Plans Plus was built on.

Daunte Benjamin, MBA

Co-Owner · Strategy, Analytics & Systems

Daunte is the one who makes the numbers make sense.

Background

With an MBA in Business Analytics and 5+ years working at the intersection of data, technology, and business strategy, Daunte brings an analytical depth that most small business consultants do not.

Experience

His background includes senior-level data analytics at a national architecture and engineering firm, cancer research coordination at Moffitt Cancer Center, data infrastructure management at a tech startup, and clinical lab work. Across every role, the job has been the same: take messy, complex information and turn it into something people can actually use to make better decisions.

At BPP

Daunte leads financial strategy, data analytics, AI workflow automation, CRM implementation, business planning, and social media marketing. He makes sure the brand shows up with the same structure the team builds into each client’s backend.

Kenny Hawkins

Co-Owner · Business Development, Operations & Growth

Kenny is the one who connects the big picture to the day to day.

Background

Kenny’s professional background includes leading cross-functional teams of PhD scientists on Phase 2 clinical trials, healthcare operations coordination, financial treatment planning, and quality assurance at a 9-figure healthcare company.

Experience

Across 7 years of bridging clinical research, healthcare operations, and business systems, he developed the ability to take chaotic, high-stakes environments and turn them into repeatable processes that work under pressure. His background in regulatory compliance, CRM automation, financial modeling, and AI-driven analytics gives him a mix of clinical precision and entrepreneurial hustle.

At BPP

Kenny leads business development, client growth strategy, and marketing campaigns. He has architected sales strategies, AI integrations, and operational frameworks contributing to $500K+ in projected aggregate revenue growth across the client portfolio. He is the one building relationships, opening doors, and making sure the growth plan is not just on paper.

Eli Fisher, PMP

Co-Owner · Design, Sales & Client Experience

Eli thinks about business the way a designer thinks about a product. Every touchpoint matters.

Background

Eli is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with a background in psychology and UX design, which means he does not just ask whether something works. He asks whether it makes sense to the person on the other end of it. Professionally, he has managed IT projects and governance processes at Citi, supported executive-level operations at the Managing Director level, and championed AI adoption across teams.

Experience

He has also worked in fraud analysis, IT support, and system optimization, always focused on the same thing: removing the friction that slows people down.

Eli leads website design and development, UX/UI, client experience, sales, community engagement, and marketing campaigns. He is the reason your website converts, your intake process feels smooth, and your brand makes a strong first impression. From the first click to the first conversation, that is his lane.
